I will Disappoint Those That Say I don't Know Anything...Nkuma


The People Democratic Party- PDP's Chairmanship Candidate in Obot Akara LGA, for the forth coming local government elections schedule for October, 5th 2024, by the Akwa Ibom State election management body, AKISIEC, Hon. Simon Dominic, has vowed to surprise and disappoint the minute segment of the populace, that ever entertained doubt, that he does not have the technical know how to superintend/administer the affairs of Obot Akara LGA,  given the mandate, as the Executive Chairman.


Speaking in a meeting with his media team, a subset of his AMAZING GRACE CAMPAIGN ORGANIZATION, yesterday in Ikot Ekpene, Hon. Dominic, popularly known as Nkuma, reiterated his resolved to transform Obot Akara LGA, during his tenure with visible and modern infrastructures that will silent his traducers. 



"As a local man, in the local government, managing local people, I promise to, in  a space of three months, disappoint all those who says I, don't know anything",  Hon. Dominic reiterated, sending the members of the team to a tumultuous laughter. 


He revealed that he is a man that loves advice a lot,  listened more to suggestions/ criticism, and take them as an effective tools for advancement. 


Speaking further, the Chairmanship hopeful,  pointed out that he is not going to be the kind of Chairman, that will deceive his people and loot their common wealth. He informed the gathering that he is a self contented man, as such will not be selfish and power drunk in service to his people.



"If you know me very well, I am that kind of person that goes all out to make sure I prove wrong my doubters", Nkuma, posited. 


 He pointed out that because he is riding on the wings of Men, who have made their marks on the sand of time, exemplified themselves, and proven their onus in every assignments,  with verifiable track records of success, he is confident that he will not fail.


"What does it takes to be a local government Chairman?", Hon. Simon demanded from those that are doubting his credentials. 

"I believe more than nothing, that, what will make you a better Manager and Administrator of a local government, is your knowledge of the Area, the needs of the people, the commitment to lift the majority out of poverty, and carry  everyone who is ready to take this ride a long with me",  that is my resolved, the incoming Chairman added.


He finally called for unity among Obot Akara people,  continued support and solidarity to Governor Umo Eno's Arise agenda, to encourage the State government in  sustaining the current developmental strides in Obot Akara local government Area.
