THE CANDIDATE, HIS MESSAGE AND THE PROPAGATORS

 


Amidst skepticism regarding the divine choice of Hon. Simon Dominic, popularly known as Nkuma, as the Obot Akara Local Government Area (LGA) Chairmanship candidate for the People's Democratic Party (PDP), a coalition of media enthusiasts and ardent supporters of the Amazing Grace campaign team gathered yesterday for a familiarization meeting. Operating under the banner of the Obot Akara Media Vanguard, the meeting showcased a strong and diverse turnout of supporters, some of whom traveled long distances to show their commitment to the campaign and the candidate.


The assembly was orchestrated by Hon. Amama Aloysius, the Personal Assistant to Governor Umo Eno on Youth Matters and Secretary of the National Youth Council of Nigeria in Akwa Ibom State. Addressing the gathered team, Ho


n. Amama commended the media enthusiasts for their dedication and assured the incoming chairman of the team’s unwavering support, professionalism, and readiness to campaign effectively.

The meeting witnessed a formal inauguration of the team, which was done by Hon. Simon Dominic himself. In his remarks, Hon. Dominic expressed his gratitude to the media team members, stating that their commitment to promoting his candidacy took him by surprise. He emphasized the importance of civility, dedication, and ethical conduct in their campaign efforts, urging the team to maintain high standards of professionalism. Hon. Dominic promised that his leadership would bring unprecedented dividends of democracy to the people of Obot Akara LGA and pledged to be a beacon of hope for the common man.


The event also saw the attendance of Comrade Emaido, Chairman of the Obot Akara LGA Youth Council, who accompanied Hon. Dominic to demonstrate his solidarity with the PDP candidate and the media team. His presence further underscored the broad-based support that Hon. Simon Dominic’s candidacy has garnered across different segments of the Obot Akara community.

The familiarization meeting marks a significant step forward in the campaign, setting the stage for an active engagement with the electorate in the coming weeks.
